Beer Tautology is full frame video of beer bubbles. Exploiting the difficulty the camera’s auto focus has when confronted with multiple subjects of varying distances, the beer bubbles cause the focus to blur in and out, effectively creating an ‘inebriated’ view – a codified crisis of vision understood by way of Hollywood film convention. Without being physically consumed, the beer becomes both the subject, and the cause of the camera’s inebriation.
